Pictorial of Memories

I lay here looking out through my hostel room's window to look up at the skies. I can't help thinking to myself how much time has passed us by. All of us have changed into a different individual. I am glad all of us are keeping in touch with each other but sometimes there is simply the need to just meet up, have a great drink and talk about stuff. I miss those times when we can freely call each other out for a drink. Now, we have to put in weeks or months of planning trying to coordinate each others schedule together and come up with the perfect date for a gathering.

I miss those innocent high school days where we will see each other every day, have break together in the canteen, cheer for each other teams during sport events, talk about anything under one roof, trying to hide things during spot checks...I miss those times!

Do Re Mi Fa So!

I look back and think how much we have grown throughout these few years since we left high school. Everyone is busy with their own matters now be it with studies, dating, family, work or life in general. How often do we pick up the phone and sms/call our loved ones to tell them we are thinking of them? With more advanced technology, isn't it even more easy to get in touch with our loved ones? With a simple click on Facebook or your email account, you can send even a short sentence telling each other you are thinking of them. With instant messaging, you have the option to chat in real time and to even see them through webcam. However, I question myself, do I do that? Are others thinking of me when I am thinking of them too?

Too many questions...too many different responses to them...

I came up with the conclusion that as long as I am thinking of all of you, thats all that matters. I still do think back about all our beautiful memories, thus this post. Its probably going to be filled with loads of pictures and I hope all of you bear with me. Its just something spontenous I feel like doing at the moment.

I hope that when I am writing this, some of you out there is thinking of me. I miss all of you and I love you guys! I can't wait till the time we go out in one whole group again. Take care my dears and always remember, all of you hold a piece in my heart which will be etched there forever...

Food Blogging (Finally!)

Hi people! I am back! Been so busy with assignments that I almost died from the pressure. Haha! Good thing I am still alive and very much kicking!

Anyway, before I start on my very first food blogging post, I would like to wish CONGRATULATIONS to my cousin Jade and her husband, Henry for their new born baby! Born on 19.03.2009 at 12.:18am, its a healthy baby weighing 3.01kg. I am so happy for them! Wishing them all the best and welcome to parenthood!





Definitely a match make in heaven! I am sure their baby will look as beautiful as them too! I am so happy for both of you darling! *hugs*

Anyway, back to food blogging:

This is from a hawker stall in Mccalister Road (I don't even know how to spell the name of the road! Kyah!). 3 agents were available that day: Agent T, Agent L and me, Agent Q. It was pretty dark that day so we were not able to take a clear picture of the hawker stall's name but its the one with the firewood pizza. The next time I go there, we will definitely take a good look at the name of the place.

There is a variety of stalls here. It was pretty crowded the day we went so we had to sit inside. Come to think of it, I think it was Agent T who led us there instead of the crowd but whatever goes. Hehe!

I decided to go for the tomyam maggi which is located just in front of the entrance of the indoor sittings.





At first glance, its quite decent presentation wise. The colour was just right and the texture was slightly on the thick side (I like that in my tomyam). However, it fared rather poorly taste wise. It was more on the spicy side than sour (ratio of around 60:40). The fish was definitely not fresh and the hefty price of RM5.50 for mine (coz I wanted to add several meat balls inside) definitely does not please me. I don't think I will come back again for this.

Agent T: Never tried

Next was Agent L's Singapore Beehoon which picture I totally forgotten to take. Okay, I admit I am not a big fan of beehoon's, thus my ignorance towards any kind of food which contains any trace of beehoon in it. Agent L gave it a 5/10.

What Agent T ordered was rather special. Its actually some sort of noodles with baked crab meat in the sidelines. Mind you, the crab meat is not genuine crab meat but crab sticks. Regular crab meat would probably cost a bomb. Its a rather interesting dish coz its the first time I saw something like that. The noodles were soft and nice while the crab meat was baked to a nice texture. It seems as if its baked with cheese but its not. I don't know what its baked in though.



Agent Q: 6/10
Agent L: 6/10
Agent T: Too busy eating to rate but I think he will give it around 7/10 since he ordered it several times before.

This dish came together with the crab meat dish. Both of them cost RM10 so I don't know how much each dish costs. This is the bomb of the evening. Its actually just fried chicken but I don't know how the seller fries it until it comes out so nice and juicy! It tastes like Tori Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) but at a more affordable price. Absolutely delicious! It even comes with a special sauce which tastes like thousand island (looks like it as well!) and a small serving of salad at the side.

The final item of the day is grilled fish or rather called Ikan Panggang. This was seriously bad. The fish is not fresh at all! It has a very rough texture and the smell itself tells us its not nice. It looks okay presentation wise though. Will definitely not order it again! Its from the stall at the middle of the hawker place. There is another one at the front but its not that one.

A bad day

This is just a short entry.

Its a horribly bad day today.

I feel betrayed by a person close to me.

That person close to me almost killed me in a car accident.

Until now, I am just crying and crying because I was so scared that I was going to die. I almost died for gods sake!

I feel betrayed coz if he was really my good friend, he wouldn't have drove the car so recklessly and almost got both of us killed! Am I such a burden to you until you would have wanted me dead?

When I got home, I was so thankful I am alive. The only thoughts I had were to contact my loved ones. I called Siew Lee, Papa-san and L and just cried to them. Thanks for your support! I am just so glad that I am still alive to hear their voices and also to be blogging up this entry at this moment.

I thank god I am alive...

I find this very interesting. Got it off Patrice's blog (Thanks for the tag, dear!) so I am just going to fill it up. Lets see how it goes. Hehe!
