Of photoshoots and values...

It seems like ages since I last blogged. I apologize as I have been so busy with assignments and constant presentations. I am glad that I have only one more assignment to complete for my Strategic Management. However, its due in 2 days time and I have barely started anything except for researching and reading more journals! My eyes hurt...

Anyway, I am currently suffering from mental stress (from assignments), a toothache (my new tooth is growing!) and a fever caused by the new tooth. Sob sob. Why is it that every time a new tooth grows, it hurts like crazy for me? I couldn't sleep for days just because of the pain! Any suggestions on how to reduce the pain?

I just went for a photoshoot last Saturday. I won't reveal what photoshoot it is so just wait for the pictures to come k? My special appreciation to Drag, Sinister, Matrika, Matrika's sister, Matrika's friend and Kev for taking time off for this photoshoot. I sure hope the pics will come out satisfactory! Thank you again!

We went to the beach for a photoshoot and I witnesses a lot of events which are worth blogging for. First of all, I saw a HUGE group of photographers (Drag claimed that they are from some Penang Shutter Group or something...not very sure though!) who came to the beach we were in for a sunset photoshoot. What baffled me was the fact that the beach we are in doesn't really host a very fine sunset as there are mountains that covers the sun and the very fact that you care barely see anything doesn't help. All of them lined up with their tripods and acted "oh-so-professional" that it makes me puke. They just looked at our photoshoot and give out the "Amateur photoshoot" look and walked away. What to do? Some people are just trying to show off.

I don't want to comment on their photography as I have not seen their works but whatever it is, they should embrace photography with a more open minded mind. Most photographers here think that bigger cameras/tools equals to better photography. I would tell them they are wrong even though I am no photographer myself. I have seen pictures taken by people using normal SLR camera's and they can beat those "big body" photographers hands down! Haha! So just a word to the group of "lan ci" photographers the other day, don't go showing off what you can't do and stop stealing sniping shots! *fumes*

Another interesting scene which we saw was a wedding photography session on the beach. The funny thing was it was a really sucky wedding photography. How would I know? Let me tell you why. Most beach wedding shots would be like these pictures:

or...

or at least...

What they did was they took out a dozen of red roses stalks and STUCK THEM ON THE SAND! Is it a beach photography or a garden photo? I have no idea. I mean, if you want to take pictures with flowers, why not go to a pretty garden or at least a flower field? If you want to take beach shots, just take the freaking beach. Why add "additional accessories"? If you want a Japanese themed wedding, go take some shots at rivers with bamboo reefs. If you want a flower themed wedding, go to a flower field. But for a beach wedding, why do you want to take a beach with roses? Weird right?

We were looking at how her long dress is stained from sitting on the sand. I pity the bridal house. I wonder how long they would take to wash off all the sand from the dress. The guy was dressed in a plain white shirt and a scarf. I think its just weird to wear a scarf to a wedding, let alone a beach. Hmmm...but thats just my plain opinion. Nothing wrong with expressing myself, right?

The most important part of this blog is that I wanted to say there are still honest people in this world. Why would I say that? Well, its cause Sinister left his WHOLE CAMERA BAG (which must be worth at least RM7 000!) on the beach by accident and only realized that he lost if after he got home (which was several hours later!). Drag and Sinister drove all the way back to the beach and the camera bag was there with everything else intact! I mean, if you were to leave a backpack anywhere, its highly likely that several hours later, there wouldn't even be a bag on the same spot. This came as a relief for all of us. Thank you to the people who helped put the backpack in a safe spot nearby the hut. Thank you to all those honest people out there. I am really glad that there are still honest people out there! Haha!

Just await the pictures k? I am sure they will turn out great! I had an awesome time in the photoshoot too! Lets do it again sometime again, k?
